Early Life and Background
Sanjana was born and brought up in Muscat, Oman. She belongs to a Hindu Bengali family. She has done her schooling in Oman and graduated from Kolkata after shifting in 2017. Her mother’s name is Nilanjana Banerjee and she’s a housewife. She has a younger brother named Swapnil Banerjee. She was keen on becoming an actress and hence, she decided to shift to Kolkata permanently in 2017 to pursue her dreams. She didn’t speak Bengali although she belongs to a Bengali family. She learnt the language after coming to Kolkata with the help of her co-star and grandparents.

Career
Sanjana moved to Kolkata in the year 2017 and started her modelling career. She has done plenty of television commercials. She was called up by SVF (Shree Venkatesh Films) for an audition. She attended several acting workshops and was finally cast in the movie titled “Fidaa” opposite Yash Dasgupta. The movie was released in July 2018 and it is directed by Pathikrit Basu. Sanjana Banerjee has portrayed the lead role as “Khushi” in the movie. She has also done a music video with Jhon Bhattacharya called “Mithye Kotha”. This music video got more than 3 million views on YouTube in a few weeks. Sanjana is also popular on a social media platform like Instagram and has accumulated over 68k followers on the same. She has endorsed several well-known brands on Instagram and keeps engaging with her followers in order to stay in touch with her audience.
