Chakravarthy Chandrachud (born in 1977) is an Indian actor, writer, director, and journalist. He is well known for his works in Kannada. He is also popular for being a wildcard contestant in the reality show called Bigg Boss Kannada (season 8) and for his activism and works in literature.

Early life and Background
Chakravarthy was born in Devanur which is in Chikmagalur District of Karnataka. He practices Hinduism and his caste is Vishwakarma. His parent’s name is unknown since he never disclosed that. He studied in a small school in Devanur and graduated from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering in Mysore, Karnataka. He was a member of the student unions namely DYFI and SFI while he was in college. He has been attracted to social work since his college days. He has always been an active participant in the cultural and social activities organized by his college.
Personal life
Chakravarthy got married twice. He first married a woman named Manjula and got divorced within a few years. Later, he married Shruthi who is an actor and a politician in Kolpur, Udupi in the year 2013 and got separated in the year 2014. He has two daughters, Chukki (from his first wife) and Gowri (from his second wife). Chakravarthy’s personal life has been a part of various controversies. He is currently single and lives alone.

Career
Chakravarthy Chandrachud started his career as a journalist for the weekly Kannada newspaper called Lankesh Patrike and he has been working with this newspaper for 15 years. He has directed a movie called Janma in the year 2013. He has worked as an actor in the Kannada films, namely ‘Ranganayaki’ in 2019 and ‘Melobba Maayaavi’ in 2020. He participated in the TV reality show called Big Boss Kannada season 8 in 2021. He has also written various books like Jala Jana Kranti, Khali Shilube, and two other poetry books called Mailu Tutta’ and ‘Saava Kolluvavarige Shikshe Illa’. He has also released a documentary called Mahamarana. Apart from these things he keeps conducting social events through his organization called Darvesh Chauki.
