Nishant Singh Malkani (born on 1^st September 1987) is an Indian television and film actor and model. He usually works in the Hindi Television Industry. He is best known for his role as Akshat Jindal in the Hindi television show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. He also portrayed Anukalp Gandhi in Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi in 2010. Malkani made his web series debut with the popular series Ragini MMS Returns in 2017.

Early life and Background 

Nishant Singh Malkani was born in a well settled Sindhi family in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His father, Deepak Malkani, is a businessman and his mother, Geeta Malkani, is a housewife. Nishant did his early schooling from Laxman Public School in New Delhi and went on to do an honours course in economics from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (University of Delhi). He was interested in marketing from his early college days and pursued MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata. 

Personal life

Nishant has dated actress Sara Khan in the past according to some media sources. Currently, he is dating his co-star Kanika Mann. We are not sure about their relationship but they are often spotted together in different locations. They also share cute pictures together on their social media accounts. They are yet to confirm their relationship status.  It is also suspected that he is dating Gia Maneek as per media sources.

Nishant pursued MBA in IIM Kolkata but grabbed the opportunity to act for the Indian Audience instead. His first role came in the romantic drama Miley Jab Hum Tum in which he got the role of Adhiraj Singh.

His role was loved by the younger audience. The show stopped airing in 2010. Nishant further got a role in Ram Milaayi Jodi on Zee TV as Anukalp Gandhi. He tried his luck in the film industry afterwards. He has done films like Horror Story, Bezubaan Ishq and, Cute Kameena. He grabbed the attention of a large audience for his role in the web series Ragini MMS Returns in 2017 as Raj. Nishant is currently portraying Akshat Jindal in the Zee TV show Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega. He is now appearing on the reality TV show Bigg Boss 14 alongside famous celebrities like Jasmin Bhasin, Eijaz Khan and, Pavitra Punia.

Controversy 

There was a news circulating that Nishant Malkani was sexually harassed by his Ragini MMS Returns co-star Riya Sen. This news went viral in September of 2017. Nishant reportedly denied all the rumours and said that Riya was one of his best friends and the rumours were spread to defame her.

• Nishant loves to work out and is a fitness enthusiast. 
• He has a habit of buying glares and shoes. He has over 110 pairs of shoes. 
• He listens to the Hanuman Chalisa on a daily basis. He even listens to it at his shoots. 
• Nishant joined an acting school in Mumbai in 2015 to make his acting skills better.
