Radikaa Sarathkumar (born on 21st August 1963) is an Indian television actress, entrepreneur and producer who works primarily in the South Indian industry. She is the founder and Chair Person of the Radaan Mediaworks India Limited. It has produced a number of serials including Chitti, Annamalai, Selvi, Arasi, Chellame, Vaani Rani, Thamarai, Idi Katha Kadu and Chithi 2.

Early life and background
Radikaa was born to parents M.R. Radha and Geetha Radha in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 21st August 1963. She has three brothers – Ravi Radha, Raju Radha and Mohan Radha. The actor also has a sister Nirosha Radha. She is originally from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Radikaa made a number of films that was appreciated worldwide. During the peak of her career, she received stiff competition from fellow actor Suhasini. Both actors were good friends after they met each other at a film shoot.
Although Radhika was good at acting, Suhasini had a great sense of hairstyle and makeup and helped Radikaa in getting a makeover. Suhasini also was her makeup artist and hairstylist when Radikaa made her comeback into movies after a brief break. Both of them are still friends although they have chosen and moved ahead with their different career paths.
Radikaa has acted in a number of languages- Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi.
Personal life
Radikaa was rumoured to be with a number of actor and famous personalities. She was also rumoured to be dating her co-star and politician Vijayakanth and also the Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi. The actor was married to Prathap Pothen from 1985-86. She was also married to Richard Hardy from 1990-92, with whom she has a daughter- Rayane Hardy (b.1992).
After her second divorce, she was committed to taking care of her daughter and her career until she met R. Sarathkumar and married him in 2001. She has a stepdaughter from his first marriage- Varalaxmi Sarathkumar. The couple also had a son in 2004 – Rahul Sarathkumar.
In April 2019, Radikaa escaped from a near-death situation. The actor has been shooting for a film that year and had just wrapped up and was staying at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel on Easter Sunday when a bomb went off but luckily the actor’s life was spared.

Career
Radhika has acted in over three hundred films of the languages- Tamil, Telegu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. The multi-talented personality was the Judge of Jodi Number One season 3 on Vijay TV. She has produced the film Meendum Oru Kadhai Kathai, which won her the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director.
After becoming a known person on the big screen she decided to move ahead with the small screen and launched her own TV software under the name Radaan TV in 1994. After some initial trouble, the company re-emerged as Radaan Mediaworks in 1999 and had an immense turnover by 2008. She acted in several productions of her own company including the hit mega serial – Chitthi where she portrays the main character, Saradha.
In 2019, she was awarded Nadigavel Selvi during the audio launch of Market Raja MBBS.
