Radhika Merchant (born on 18th December 1994) is an Indian businesswoman. She is best known for being the fiancée of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, one of the wealthiest and most powerful businessmen in India. She was born and raised in a family full of businesspersons.

Early Life and Background

Radhika Merchant was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra in a Gujarati family. Her caste is Kutch Bhatia. Her father Viren Merchant is the CEO of Encore Healthcare, a privately owned pharmaceutical group and he is among one of the richest businessmen in the country her mother Shaila Merchant is also a businesswoman. She completed her schooling at Ecole Mondiale World School and Cathedral and John Cannons School Mumbai. Radhika Merchant is a graduate of the prestigious B.D Somani International School, Mumbai, and New York University in New York from where she pursued her graduation in Political Science and Economics. She is currently working as a consultant in the field of strategy and operations at a leading consulting firm in the city.

Personal life 

Radhika Merchant is the fiancée of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, one of the richest men in India, and the chairman of Reliance Industries. Not much is publicly known about her, as she is not a public figure and comes from a private family. She is believed to have been a schoolmate of Anant Ambani, and the two have been reportedly dating for several years. The couple got popular in 2018 when Radhika attended the wedding of two other children of Ambanis’. The couple got engaged on 19th January 2023. The betrothal ceremony took place at Shrinathji Temple at NathDwara.

Career

Radhika has done plenty of internships to kickstart her career in business. She has done an internship as a business strategy consultant at Cedar Consultants in Mumbai in 2016.  After her graduation, Radhika joined the real estate agency Isprava, which specializes in the construction and design of luxury homes. She is currently working as a director on the Board of Encore Healthcare which is a pharmaceutical company run by her father Viren Merchant.

Radhika is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She learned Bharatnatyam from a Mumbai-based dance academy called Shree Nibha Arts. Apart from her business ventures she is also a philanthropist and works on social causes. She is a strong advocate for education and has worked hard to ensure education is accessible to all irrespective of anything. She is also involved in several organizations that promote women’s empowerment.
