Riva Solanki (born in 1990) is an engineer and a politician by profession. She is best known as the wife of the popular Indian cricket all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja. She got even more popular after joining Bhartiya Janta PARTY (BJP) in 2019. She was also the Chief of Women’s Wing when she was a member of Karni Sena in 2018.

Early life and Background
Riva Solanki was born in Rajkot, Gujarat, India in a Gujrati family to father, Hardevsingh Solanki and mother, Prafullaba Solanki. She is the only child of her parents. Her father is a businessman and a contractor, her mother has worked for Indian Railways in the accounts department. Riva joined a local school in Gujrat and completed her schooling from there, after completing her schooling she went to Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science in Rajkot to pursue Mechanical engineering. She was also interested in politics since her teenage years.

Riva Solanki is married to the popular Indian cricketer, Ravindra Jadeja. She got engaged to him on 5th February 2016 at Jadeja’s Restaurant ‘Jaddu’s Food Field’ and got married on 17th April 2016 in a three-day marriage ceremony. The couple knew each other very well before their marriage, they were good friends. They welcomed their first daughter a year after their marriage in 2017. They named her Nidhyana. They are in a healthy relationship and living a good life together.

Career
After graduating from Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science as a mechanical engineer Riva started working as an engineer. She worked as an engineer for a few years before realising that she was interested in politics and wanted to become a politician. In 2018, she was appointed as the chief of women’s wing for Karni Sena which is an organisation based in Rajasthan. A year later she joined the ruling Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) as a member. She has been active since joining the party. There have been some speculations of her contesting in the Lok Sabha elections in the coming years.
