Ginni Chatrath ( born on 18th November 1989) is an Indian actress and comedian. She is from Jalandhar, Punjab. She is the well-known wife of popular comedian and actor Kapil Sharma. The former television personality has an MBA in finance from the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology in Jalandhar.

Early life and Background
Ginni Chatrath hails from an upper-class business background. Her father is a businessman and mother is a homemaker. She belongs to a Sikh household in Jalandhar, Punjab. She has a younger sister named Harleen Chatrath. She did her schooling from MGN Public School in Jalandhar.
She went to college and did her graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University College in Jalandhar and then went on to pursue her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology at Jalandhar. Although Ginni is a very bright student she wanted to become an actress from a young age but later changed her mind and decided to stay away from the limelight.
Personal Life
She and Kapil Sharma met during her college days in Jalandhar where they both used to do Stand-up Comedy. Ginni was seen with Kapil Sharma at the Hans Baliye comedy reality show. They started dating from then on. Kapil Sharma revealed their relationship through a Twitter post on 17th March 2017.
She received several offers from Punjab cinema after the show but rejected them to attain a life out of the TV. They got engaged in 2013. The couple finally got married on 12th December 2018 in Jalandhar. They conceived a child together in December of 2019.

Career
Ginni did her schooling from MGN Public School in Jalandhar. She was always a brilliant student academically but wanted to be an actress which she later changed. She did her graduation from Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar and her Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
After that in 2009, she went on to do a comedy reality show called Hans Baliye where she was first seen with actor and comedian Kapil Sharma. After that, she got several offers from Punjab cinema but she decided not to accept them as she wanted a life outside of the industry. Presently, she assists her father in the Business.
