Early Life and Background
Dishani Chakraborty was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She holds Indian nationality and follows Hinduism. She was adopted by the Bollywood actor, Mithun Chakraborty, and his wife Yogita Bali when she was a baby. Apparently, it was printed in a Bengali newspaper that she was left near a dustbin on the roadside by her real parents. While reading the newspaper Mithun saw the article and went to the NGO where she was kept with his wife to adopt her. She has three foster brothers named Mahaakshay Chakraborty, Namashi Chakraborty, and Ushmey Chakraborty. Dishani was brought up in India, she did her schooling at The Monarch International School, Penn Foster High School, and completed it in Pennsylvania, USA. After completing her schooling she joined New York Film Academy to pursue an acting course because of sheer interest in acting.

Dishani Chakraborty has appeared in a few short films. She made her debut in the year 2017 with the short film Holy Smoke! The short film was directed and written by her brother Ushmey Chakraborty.
